ZeroSpace entered Steam Early Access on July 20, 2026. Starlance Studios has shipped three public Steam updates in the first launch week:
- Day One Patch — live (Steam news: “Our Day One Patch is now live!”) — performance, crashes, UI defaults, chat, leaderboards, and early gameplay fixes.
- Weekend Update (July 24) — resolution fixes, large UI pass, Medal.tv integration, new portraits, and the first competitive balance patch. Full breakdown: Weekend Update July 24.
- Minor Update (July 26) — matchmaking reliability, selection QoL, Grey Horizons AI difficulty scaling, Galactic War reward UI, and loading-screen crash fix. Details: Minor Update July 26.

Day One Patch — confirmed live fixes
Official Day One notes prioritize player-reported crashes and usability:
- Crashes — Fixed crashes when viewing player profiles and on loading screens; misc exit/close-game reliability.
- Defaults — Friendlier default settings; settings reorganized; resolution scale defaults to 100% to reduce blurry/fuzzy graphics; control groups and unit name tooltips shown by default.
- Performance — More performant VFX types; off-screen unit FX removed immediately instead of fading out.
- Social / matchmaking — General chat works; fixed being pulled into lobbies by previous party members; SteamVR no longer opens incorrectly with a Valve Index connected; harvester selection improvements.
- Versus — Leaderboards work; Random can no longer roll Xol in matchmaking; Xol cast-range upgrade cost fixed (400 → 200).
- Campaign — Rare Operation Moby softlock fixed; Containment Breach victory timer adjusted; dialogue timing tweaks; in-game roadmap added.
- UI — Home/versus styling refresh (start of a larger UI update); settings spacing/scroll fixes; language names shown in their own language.
Starlance noted higher-priority follow-ups still in progress after Day One (resolution consistency and further UI). Those shipped in the July 24 Weekend Update.
What changed for Season Zero and ranked players
Xol remains out of intentional ranked rolls via Random, matching the launch balance-testing plan on the Xol guide. Galactic War saw Starport production-ghost fixes. After Day One, the July 24 balance pass nerfed several high-mobility scouts and Endari Devourer harvester snipes — revisit PvP meta and Galactic War picks.
Launch pricing remains $35.99 USD (10% off $39.99) through August 3, 2026; Starlance has noted Early Access pricing may rise as content expands, so the launch window is the best entry price for most regions.
